Pupil Premium

“Disadvantaged pupils, including those who are most able, make strong progress from their starting points because of the support they receive, particularly in key stage 2, where their progress is significantly above that which is expected in reading, writing and mathematics” Ofsted 2016

Pupil premium is an additional sum of money allocated to schools by the government on the basis of the number of pupils who are eligible for free school meals, and the number of pupils who are in care.  The purpose for the additional funding is to narrow any gaps in attainment and to raise standards in basic skills.
