Welcome to Year 3 Octopus!

My name is Mrs Thackway and I am the Year 3 Octopus teacher. Working with me this year is my teaching assistant, Mrs Reynolds. Our aim is to work together to ensure that the children are safe, happy and that they reach their full potential. Together as a class we have decided our main goal is to always try our best!

Weekly Timetable

We appreciate your support in remembering the following each week:

Monday - Reading book. Homework sent home.

Tuesday - Reading book. PE kit.

Wednesday - Reading book. PE kit.

Thursday - Reading book.

Friday - Reading book. Homework due in.

We ask parents to support their child each week by reading with them on a daily basis and ensuring their homework is completed with adult supervision. This will have a great deal of impact with your child’s attainment and development.

Our Topics this Year

This year we will be embarking on an exciting new journey with our cross curricular topics. Our aim is to teach essential skills through all of our subjects We are already in full swing with our new topic ‘Heroes and Villains’. The children are fully engaged and have already produced some fantastic work!
