Welcome to Reception Blue Tang

Welcome to Reception Blue Tang. I am Miss Sayers and I am Reception Blue Tang’s teacher. Mrs Daud also works with the children in our class. In Foundation Stage we encourage the children to follow their interests during their play to develop a love of learning. All children also participate in adult led activities to help them reach their full potential.

During free choice children will develop their learning in any of the 3 classrooms or the outdoor area. All areas of learning are covered throughout Foundation Stage.

Weekly Timetable

Blue Tang have PE on a Thursday, but please make sure your child’s PE bag is in school everyday. Homework will be sent home on Thursday afternoon and is expected to be returned to school on Monday morning. Please make sure your child’s book bag is in school everyday.

Our Expectations in Reception

Children will be rewarded for good work, behaviour and manners with smileys. Once a child has reach 10 smileys they receive a bronze sticker. When a child has totalled 10 bronze stickers they will then be awarded a bronze certificate. Children who achieve this will then continue to work towards their silver and gold targets.

In Blue Tang we have some class rules that we follow:

· I can sit quietly on the carpet,

· I am nice to my friends,

· I can remember to stand in line,

· I can help my friends,

· I can listen to other people,

· I can tidy my things away when I have finished,

· I can take turns.
